Anyone with a basic understanding of nutrition can call themselves a "nutritionist," but this does not imply that they should provide you dietary advice. A trained nutritionist (such as myself) has studied and qualified to earn a nutrition certification.
The same applies for my studies in personal training, menopausal and pre-postnatal nutrition, and programme design.
